First step

Now that you've runned foobar, it's time to use it

the playlist panel (the more useful)
Playlist
  • "open" to add a single file from your computer
  • "add location" to add a file that you want to listen from internet
  • "add files" Well I think it's the same as "open"
  • "add directory" to add a whole directory and all the musical files which foobar is able to read, WARNING it also adds the subdirectories so beware before adding a directory containing a lot of files
  • add/load/save playlist. Well their name gives a good idea about what it does..
  • "Create new playlist" Creates a new playlist..
    • Note: foobar is very useful for that because you can manage a lot of different playlists at the same time whitout having to load them each time
Some useful stuff:
  • Remove dead entries: allows you to delete files from your playlist which are no more avaible
  • Remove duplicates: deletes the same files which are in your playlist, but does it only if everything is the same: name, tags and Co
  • Search: if you have too much files in your directory, you can find files with this tool, just type words corresponding to what you want and foobar will show you all entries corresponding to what you've typed
  • Sort: allows you to sort your playlist according to the selected demand
  • cut tracks: deletes the selected track
  • Copy/paste tracks: The same as usually
  • Scroller: allows you to do the selected thing when used. I think the use of it is quite clear
